Today's 2 Beans
This tasty recipe was given to me by a friend who is Hawaiian. I've been told by another friend that there's a Philippino version as well, but I don't have that recipe. All I know is neither myself nor my friends have met a person yet who can resist these things. There are delicious!

Lumpia
Ingrediants:
1 lb. ground hamburg
1/2 jar of minced garlic (normal size, not bulk size)
salt/pepper-season to liking (I use garlic pepper here)
garlic salt-season to liking
1/2 bag of coleslaw mix
2 bags of lumpia wrappers (egg roll wrappers will work if you can't find lumpia specifically)
1 egg, whipped (in small bowl)

Instructions:
Cook hamburg with garlic, salt, and pepper.
Just before it's completely brown, stir in 1/2 bag of coleslaw mix.
Sprinkle garlic on top.
Let cool.

Remove wrappers from freezer, peeling one off at a time.
Place 1 tsp of mixture in bottom corner.
Roll (tightly) 2 times, fold left corner into center, then right corner into center.
Finish rolling *tightly*.
Dip finger into egg, place on corner to seal the lumpia.

For the cooking instructions, you can either put enough vegetable oil in a pan to cover 1/2 of a lumpia or you can use a fry cooker (I use a FryDaddy).
If you use the pan version, cook just enough to crisp to a golden brown and then turn over.
You will need to slowly adjust heat down as you're cooking until you reach the optimal cooking temp. (Again for the pan version).
Drain lumpia on papertowels.

Servings: 48-50 lumpia.
