A Fool Again, by NY Times Bestselling author Eloisa James, was first published as part of an anthology (The One Who Got Away). It was originally published by Avon books in 2004.
2 Beans: A Novella can sometimes be a difficult read, because they are so short by nature. It's hard for an author to establish characters, flesh out their personalities, and create a viable story in such a short space of time. However, Ms. James does just that. Her characters were interesting, their personalities came to life, and the story was intriguing. The best praise this reader can give to Ms. James is that she garnered a fan. Why is that praise? Because I don't tend to care all that much for historical romances, especially ones set as far back as her is. Is the term Regency romances correct? Yes, that's an uneducated guess. So to write a story that intrigued such a reader is a kudos to her writing talent.
So what story captivated in such a way? Well, keep reading...
