I like to let the authors "speak" for themselves when it comes to their personal information. Therefore, all of the following information on Robert Thornhill can be found in his books and on his website (www.booksbybob.com)
At age sixty-six, Robert Thornhill wrote his first book, Lady Justice Takes a CRAP (LJ #1)
Walt's adventures are anecdotal and based on Robert's real life, though Walter is fictional.
Bob has experience as an Elvis impersonator? Yes. (LJ #2)
Bob lived in Hawaii? For 5 years. (LJ #3)
Robert holds a Master's in Psychology, which I'm sure assists him in writing his characters so life-like, but Mr. Thornhill will tell you "his wit and insight come from his varied occupations".
What jobs has Bob had? Stock boy, postman, truck driver, social worker, landlord, and finally to thirty years as a realtor. Talk about a diversity of experience.
Robert has also written the Rainbow Road series of children's chapter books, which were inspired by a school assignment of his grandson's.
He lives with his wife, Peg, in Independence, Mo. All I can say to her is, "Bless your heart." (In the good way.) Walt is absolutely fun to read, but to "live" with him...wow! What adventures the two of you must have. I wish for you both the intelligence to make your way through your adventures, the laughter to survive your adventures, and the continued skill to share them with all of us who have come to love Walt & his merry gang of seniors.
